2021 – Available 21 Day Fast
There Is Nothing Better

1 John 3:19-20 (NLT)

19 Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God. 20 Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything.

Every time I was able to escape being a Christian, it was almost a success. I saw a lot of opportunities in front of me! The way things turned out seemed perfect! Being a Christian began to be something heavy and uncomfortable to live… I was tired of showing the face of a seemingly holy and perfect person. I just said, “I can’t… it’s too much.”

To be honest, in the midst of all these “absurd opportunities” I realized something. I had lived a long time close to Christians, but I was not close to God. I had stopped spending time alone with God, I had gotten tired of turning the pages of the Bible, singing in the temple was already routine, doing everything was “the same.” I lost the flavor of my first days on the path of God, the emotion of giving my life to Jesus Christ, I became insensitive to His presence. However, God created the circumstances for me to reread Ecclesiastes 11:9-10, Psalm 95:7, John 14:6,

1 John 1:8, John 3:16.

Each of these portions of the Bible led me back to a covenant that I made with God many years ago. I said to God, “I give myself to you in spirit and in truth.” This decision is what gave meaning to the rest of my life! It was literally the day I felt like my brain had been reset! I cannot explain it better. I can only say that there is no greater wealth in my life, there is no better decision; I just know that “there is nothing better” than allowing God to take my life and make it useful in His hands to fulfill His perfect plan in this life! I can’t live away from Him… I don’t want to.

Your personal application:

I have no idea what you might be thinking at the moment you read these lines, but I think you have also felt and thought to be away from God at times, believing that your life does not serve in the hands of God. However, I invite you to return again to that special place where you were looking for it. I challenge you to remember those moments when the presence of the Holy Spirit was paramount in your life. I urge you to once again allow God to use your life.

I invite you to read again those verses that marked your life.

Take a moment to read 1 John 3:19-20 again and then write down what has great value in your relationship with God and define how you can be available in His hands.
