2018 – Revive All
More than a moment
Many years ago, I lived a very peculiar experience. My wife and I were youth pastors and directors of the worship team of a church in a city that is located on the south side of Texas. One morning, I received instructions to allow the group of women of the church to take part in the direction of a special program. Everything was fine until the moment a person, that integrated part of the leadership of this ministry, approached me with a great determination and said firmly, “I’m going to teach what is a true revival; we are going to sing old songs! I like the old-style revival….” I wasn’t against her style or the age of the songs, but I was surprised that she called “revival” a style and a season in time!
It is sad that we arrive to the extent of thinking that a revival is something that is lived for a few minutes and in a specific place. Have you ever wondered what a revival means to God?
Literally, it is something that we should live in every moment of our lives, no matter the circumstances.
I invite you to live, as of today, a persistent relationship with God, so that it is genuine and fruitful. Decide to live each and every day of your life committed to something that will make you feel the need to love and appreciate all that He is for you!
Please consider this verse from the Word of God; it will help you in a special way:
For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. – 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NTV
