Keep Your Focus On Me

DEVOTIONAL

I realize more each day that in Christ we are gifted with incredible freedom.  I have found that the key to accessing this freedom is by keeping our focus on Him.

My aim each day is to bring EVERY thought captive to Christ. As my mind roams from issue to issue and anxiety builds, I’ve found great peace in taking captive those anxious thoughts, then exposing them to God’s presence through prayer and thanksgiving.

Focusing on God’s unconditional love removes all fear, anxieties, and tangled ideas. Rest in God’s perfect peace today, focus on Him, and He will guard and keep you in His perfect peace.

PRAYER

Father,

I have confessed Jesus as my Lord and believed in my heart that You raised Him from the dead.  I ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to help me overcome any resentment I feel toward those who have disappointed me, abused me, abandoned me, or discouraged me.

I am Your child.  When I feel left out or unloved, I anchor into You and am thankful that You will never, ever leave me alone or reject me.

Help me to walk in Your love today.  In the name of Jesus…Amen.
