Even in the storm, we must have a willing heart
Psalm 57:7 (JUB)
My heart is ready, O God, my heart is willing; I will sing and give you praise.
Throughout our lives, we find times where the storms do not seem to end, and at times they get darker. As David, I believe that we have all lived those seasons; I have lived them as well. In John 16:33, we find Jesus saying that we will have trouble in this world, but He also gave us hope as He defeated the world.
Even there, in the dark, where we seem useless, where fear surrounds us, our hearts and minds must remain available to the Lord; available for Him to take control and lead the way out; available to praise and glorify Him in the storm. We must be available to face the storms so that from them, we can become strong in our faith in Christ.
My wish and prayer is that we can always find the strength and place to seek God during any trouble or storm and let His will be accomplished. May we, through our prayers, confess and declare that we are ready and available, and that even if more storms come often or get darker, we will continue to believe that in His hands and under His will, we will always be safer than anywhere else. May we not be afraid to be ready and willing, because we must always remember that in Christ, we are more than conquerors.
