Day 5: Prayer for our First Responders
Protection and Encouragement:
Every time I hear the phrase “First Responders I am immediately reminded of the parable of The Good Samaritan Luke 10:25-36 NIV while not everyone responds the same way Our first Responders willingly place themselves in harm’s way on a daily basis to help and protect our lives. Now more than ever during these turbulent times in our society and world do they need our prayers and reminded how much they are appreciated and needed.
Yet, God is sovereign and bigger than every challenge they will face. Isaiah 41:10 (“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”).
“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13 ESV.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV
